Our training is truly unique. Each session is practical, fun and motivating. Because Karen is a lawyer, HR professional and college educator, you know that the workshops will include the legal information your participants need, with practical solutions on applying the law. We recognize that your employees can’t afford to be off-line all day, and that’s why most of our workshops last no more than 2-3 hours, yet we pack everything your employees need to know into these sessions.

Internal Investigations
When a complaint of harassment, discrimination or other misconduct is brought to your company’s attention, immediate action is needed. Most organizations are not equipped with the expertise to conduct a complex, difficult investigation into the legitimacy of the complaint. In addition, complaints against senior executives make it virtually impossible to conduct an objective investigation internally.
We have conducted hundreds of investigations, including those involving harassment, discrimination, general misconduct, mismanagement, bullying, workplace violence, fraud, falsification of application and most other types of misconduct. Our experience ranges from top senior management to non-exempt employees.
When you receive a complaint, it is critical that immediate action is taken. For some laws, taking immediate action will completely relieve your organization of liability, even if the allegations of misconduct are true.
Let us investigate internal complaints. We will conduct an objective, thorough investigation and will complete a practical, usable report on the findings. In addition, we will make recommendations on how to handle the results, including whether disciplinary action should be taken, if any. Finally, because Karen has practiced law and understands the workings of the legal system, she would be poised to testify regarding the investigation in any subsequent litigation that may result from the complaint.
Law Firm Referrals
We recognize that most law firms cannot handle the investigations for their clients due to the potential conflict if the matter results in litigation. When law firms refer their clients to us for the investigation, we will work with the law firm to ensure that all the client’s needs are met in a confidential, objective and thorough manner. We take good care of the law firm’s clients, and then refer them back to the law firm after the investigation is complete. Our firm does not handle any litigation, so you can be assured that we will only provide the services for which the matter has been referred. We are not in competition with law firms for clients. We work with them to provide services that the law firm cannot provide.
